MR. PINGU
Mr. Pingu is our winter swimming mascot and one of our most regular winter swimming participants. His extraordinary abilities are very well regarded amongst our group, since he automatically starts measuring water temperature as well as keeping the time, as soon as he gets in.
His preferred water temperature is COLD. In spite of that, some evil winter swimmers once took him into a hot bath, which he disliked very much. As soon as the temperature reached 39 degrees Celcius, he started beeping frantically and immediately wanted to get out. Since then, he has never again ventured into any water that warm!
Besides his practical abilities in the water, Mr. Pingu has many more interesting duties and responsibilities. Every year, he issues the highly popular winter swimming diplomas. In order to get one, winter swimmers must join our weekly swim trainings or special events at least once a month from December till March.

Ufschötti in Luzern (apart from July and August when he likes to try out cold mountain lakes and glacier rivers)
